Client Stories

  • Suzi
  • Barbra

Wedding Date - August 2011

Suzi contacted me at the beginning of the year. She phoned me and said that I had made the outfit for her friend’s mum last year and it was so gorgeous that she nearly outshone the bride.
Suzi then told me she lived in Dubai! The thought of travelling there for fittings sounded very nice indeed ‘till she told me that soon she was coming back to Newcastle.
We corresponded by e mail and she send me ideas for shapes and fabrics. She knew she wanted one of the two ideas I had sent her in sketches.
Suzi came to Glasgow for our first consultation meeting and fitting and she tried on the Toile of the shape she had chosen. As she wasn’t completed sure, only five weeks prior to the date of the wedding Suzi finally knew which shape she wanted transferred into her gown.
It goes without saying that we are all unique, and time allowing, nothing is impossible!
Suzi looked amazing on her wedding day in her handmade gown by A Scottish Touch.

Barbra’s story – October 2012

Barbra surprised her friends last year when she announced her wedding.
Barbra had never been a “girlie” girl and no-one had ever seen her in a dress.
I designed a fitted, backless dress, in heavyweight silk crepe with a shoulder strap adorned with baguette Swarovski Crystals. Her Tiara was constructed with the same crystals and complimented the long veil beautifully.

When Barbra entered the bridal room her friends were speechless.

It was such a joy to design and dress a bride to feel so special and extraordinary on her wedding day.
